The Game

Two ways to play. One board that never plays the same twice.

Word builder meets block puzzle. The mechanics are simple. The depth comes from how you play them.

Campaign Mode

Levels with goals — reach a score, clear rows, find a hidden keyword. Every five levels brings a fresh biome and a story slowly revealed through cards.

Normal & Expert

Two-letter words welcome in Normal. Switch to Expert and the rules tighten: longer words only, new block shapes, higher stakes.

Combos & portals

Build your multiplier high enough and a portal opens beneath the board — concept art, stacking speed bonuses, scores you didn't expect.

About

A small studio for thinking beings.

Word Arc was born from a simple conviction: word games and puzzle games belong together.

Project Nyr is a small studio. Small enough that the head of design, head of QA, and the person fetching coffee are all making roughly the same set of decisions on a Tuesday afternoon.

Word Arc was built carefully, slowly, and with the patient help of a few AI collaborators who never quite learned what counts as a word in Norwegian.

Caught a weird word?

With over 100,000 words per language, the dictionaries occasionally serve up something archaic, regional, or just plain odd. If a word looks wrong, missing, or like it wandered in from a different century — tell us. Your eye is sharper than our spreadsheets.

How far will you go?

Discover the words — old, new, and somewhere in between.
