Privacy Policy
Overview
Project Nyr ("we", "us", "our") operates the Word Arc mobile application (the "App"), available for Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared when you use our App on either platform.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Word Arc does not directly collect or store personal information on our own servers. The data processing described below is performed by integrated third-party services, each operating under its own privacy policy.
Information Collected by Third-Party Services
The following services are integrated into Word Arc and may collect data to provide their services:
- Google AdMob — serves advertisements within the App. May collect device identifiers (including the advertising ID), IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and ad interaction data for ad targeting and measurement. Google Privacy Policy →
- Unity LevelPlay (IronSource) — ad mediation platform that manages ad delivery across multiple ad networks. Collects advertising identifiers, device information, and ad interaction data. IronSource Privacy Policy →
- Meta Audience Network — an advertising network integrated via Unity LevelPlay mediation that may serve advertisements within the App. May collect device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data for ad delivery and measurement. Meta Privacy Policy →
- Liftoff (Vungle) — an advertising network integrated via Unity LevelPlay mediation that may serve advertisements within the App. May collect device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data for ad delivery and measurement. Liftoff Privacy Policy →
- Firebase Analytics — collects anonymised in-app usage events (such as level progression and feature interactions) to help us understand how players interact with the App and improve the experience. Firebase Privacy Policy →
- Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports, stack traces, and device information (model, operating system, RAM) to help us identify and fix stability issues. Firebase Privacy Policy →
- Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases on Android. When you make a purchase, Google handles the transaction and may collect purchase-related information such as transaction ID and purchase time. We do not receive or store your payment details. Google Privacy Policy →
- Apple App Store (StoreKit) — processes in-app purchases on iOS. When you make a purchase, Apple handles the transaction and may collect purchase-related information such as transaction ID and purchase time. We do not receive or store your payment details. Apple Privacy Policy →
Advertising & Consent (GDPR / CCPA)
Word Arc is ad-supported. On first launch, users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other applicable regions will be presented with a consent request in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable regional privacy laws. Users in California and other jurisdictions with similar protections (CCPA / CPRA) have equivalent rights regarding personalised advertising.
You may choose to receive personalised or non-personalised advertisements. You can update your consent preferences or opt out of personalised ads at any time through your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID or Opt out of ads personalisation
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking — disable the tracking permission for Word Arc, or turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track globally. You can also limit Apple-delivered personalised ads under Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS, in accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, Word Arc will ask for your permission before accessing your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for cross-app tracking purposes. If you decline, the App and its advertising partners will not access your IDFA, and you will be served non-personalised advertisements instead. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
In-App Purchases
Word Arc offers an optional one-time in-app purchase ("No Ads & Carbone Theme Pack") that removes interstitial and banner advertisements and unlocks an additional visual theme. Optional rewarded ads that the player chooses to watch (for example, to receive a rescue block) remain available.
Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing on Android and by Apple's App Store (StoreKit) on iOS. We do not receive or store your payment details. Google or Apple may share with us a record of your purchase so that we can deliver the entitlement to your account on the device. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Word Arc is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through our App, please contact us and we will take steps to remove such information.
Data Retention & Deletion
We do not store personal data on our own servers. All data collection is performed by the third-party services listed above. For data retention periods and deletion requests, please refer to the respective privacy policies of each service.
To request deletion of data associated with your device, you may reset or restrict your advertising identifier through your device settings (see the Advertising & Consent section above) or contact the relevant third-party service directly.
Data Deletion Request
To request deletion of any data associated with your use of Word Arc, please contact us by email. We will process your request and, where applicable, coordinate with our third-party service providers to action the deletion.
Please include the following in your email:
- The device type and operating system you used
- Your advertising ID (Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Your advertising ID; iOS: the IDFA is only available if you granted tracking permission — if so, please note this in your email and include your device model)
- A description of the data you would like deleted
We will respond within 30 days. Note that data held by third-party services (AdMob, Firebase, IronSource, Meta, Liftoff, Google Play, Apple) must be requested directly from those providers using the links in the section above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove third-party services. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
